Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking a PRN pathologist to provide floating coverage at our hospitals in the South market which includes coverage at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL.
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomes.
Qualified Candidates:
  • AP/CP certification or board eligibility
  • Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
  • Ability to provide ongoing coverage as needed on Monday and Tuesday at HCA Florida Blake Hospital and additional as needed at any of the facilities in the surrounding area
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain

Pathology Work Description:
  • Wide range of surgical pathology specimens
  • Cytology cases primarily consist of a variety of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA's, and lung FNA's
  • Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
