Medical Claims Intake Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027 Contract Length: 2 Months (Potential for Extension or Early Completion)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Claims Intake Specialist to support our Bill Review Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering and validating medical claim information, reviewing supporting documentation, and coordinating with healthcare providers to obtain any missing records needed for claim review. This position plays a critical role in ensuring claims are complete, accurate, and ready for timely processing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate and timely medical claim data entry within the proprietary bill review system.
  • Validate claim information and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Review medical records, itemized bills, and related documentation to ensure all required information is available for bill review.
  • Communicate with medical providers via phone and email to obtain missing documentation and resolve intake issues.
  • Monitor incoming communications, requests, and support tickets, ensuring timely routing and resolution.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records throughout the claim intake and review process.
  • Support Intake and Bill Review operations by ensuring claims are review-ready and processed efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in medical claims processing, healthcare administration, medical billing, or data entry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to review and interpret medical documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
