Job description

We are hiring a growth position to provide project engineering services for brownfield modernization and greenfield projects. From front-end (FEED) studies through project handoff, we are looking for someone that enjoys a variety of responsibilities associated with small to mid-sized projects ($250K-$1.5M). Due to the size of these projects, you will be involved as Project Manager/Project Engineer working with a team of co-workers, subcontractors, and customer employees to successfully execute automation and software integration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Front-End Design studies on behalf of clients
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and financials
  • Serve as project leader/primary point of contact during detailed design and project execution
  • Define the electrical design scope and documentation standards for each project
  • Provide guidance to the systems engineers and electrical designers to ensure project success
  • Prepare and manage construction subcontract packages with established third-party contractors
  • Oversee development of cutover plans, including โ€œhotโ€ cutovers
  • Possibly self-perform the design and systems engineering duties when needed

Qualifitations

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Relevant Technical Degree
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in project engineering role
  • Good understanding/working knowledge of various industrial network protocols, including but not limited to: Modbus, Ethernet IP, Devicenet, Profi-bus, OPC
  • Proficiency in low-voltage A/C (480V and below), D/C power, and grounding
  • Experienced with DCS and/or PLC control systems, as well as HMIs/PC Networking requirements
  • Competency in motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, and process instrumentation
  • Experience with design and reading/interpretation/redlining of engineering design documents such as P&IDs, Electrical One Lines, Plot Plans. Some AutoCAD Electrical experience would be beneficial
