Job description

Position Title: Inpatient General Psychiatrist for June 2027

Location: Atlanta, GA
The Anchor Hospital campus is a 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission that specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for adolescents, adults and elderly adults. Anchor Hospital is situated two and one-half miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. 

Position Overview:

  • Employment Type: Hospital Employed
  • Start Date: Position available for June 2027
  • Schedule / Hours: Monday-Friday onsite, day hours, 1:4 shared call
  • Patient Volume: 18–20 daily caseload, ages 10 and older
  • Location: Atlanta, GA
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary with BH Techs, BH RN, Psychiatric NPs, Social Workers and Therapists
  • EMR / Technology: Cerner

Responsibilities

  • Your role will encompass admission evaluations and assessments, managing treatment teams, overseeing discharge processes, and performing related administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and support staff
  • Document care using Cerner
  • NP supervision

Compensation

  • 1099 contract preferred

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in General Psychiatry required, 2 years post-residency experience is preferred
  • Active or eligible GA license
  • Active DEA
  • Must be comfortable and willing to see ages 10 and older
