Position Description

Thirty year old designer and importer of pet toys, serving pet product distributors and retail customer nationwide is seeking an experienced Controller to join our leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on ERP experience (preferably NetSuite and/or Sage) within a product distribution environment, including wholesale, and high-volume Electronic Data Interchange ["EDI”] transactions encompassing purchasing, shipping confirmations and invoicing. This individual will be highly analytical, data-driven, data-oriented, and possess great communication and advanced Excel skills.

Reporting directly to the CEO/CFO and working closely with senior management, the Controller will oversee all accounting operations, calculating and accruing sales commissions and royalty paments, preparing and filing multi-state sales tax returns, financial reporting and coordinating with external professionals for tax filings and audits.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity for a solutions-oriented and confident accounting professional to help shape the financial future of a successful and growing organization.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree (4-year) in accounting

· 5+ years of supervisory accounting experience

· Drop-ship, warehouse, wholesale distribution experience

· High-volume EDI purchases and invoicing environment experience

· Extensive NetSuite and/or Sage ERP system knowledge and experience, including active user

· Knowledge of GAAP relevant to an international distribution company

· Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups

· Power BI User a plus

· Strong communication skills, both oral and written

· Data Driven

· Experience working in closely-held, family business

· Unquestioned integrity
