Bradford Marine & ATV is seeking a full-time marine/powersports technician to perform service and assembly on Boats, PWCs, ATVs, Motorcycles, and Side by Sides. The technician will also prepare and inspect finished products for delivery. Basic tools are required and all specialty tools will be provided. A certified technician is preferred but not required.
Pay will be hourly PLUS commission, based on experience.
Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Marine & Powersports Technician to join our team. As a Marine & Powersports Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various types of watercraft and outdoor recreational vehicles. Your expertise will help ensure the safety and satisfaction of our customers while they enjoy their time on the water or in the great outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic and Repairs: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in marine vessels, personal watercraft, ATVs, UTVs, and other Powersports equipment.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, engine tune-ups, and fluid replacements, to keep equipment in peak condition.
- Repair and Restoration: Execute complex repairs, rebuilds, and restorations to ensure the safe and reliable operation of watercraft and powersports vehicles.
- Part Ordering: Evaluate and determine the need for replacement parts, order necessary components, and maintain accurate records of inventory.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks post-repair to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally, providing clear explanations of repairs, maintenance requirements, and cost estimates.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed service records and documentation, including work orders, invoices, and reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines when performing repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Marine & Powersports Technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of marine engines, outboard motors, and powersports equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with various marine and powersports systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Proficient with specialized tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Certification or formal training in marine and powersports mechanics is a plus but not required.
