This remote position offers the flexibility to provide therapy in an outpatient setting, allowing you to engage with your clients in a comfortable and accessible manner while working collaboratively with families to promote sustainable healing and emotional wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish proactive communication with families to serve as their main point of contact, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing the Newport Healthcare’s clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy framework to facilitate meaningful connections and positive outcomes.
  • Lead Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups to integrate family members into the therapeutic journey, enhancing the clients' support systems.
  • Complete thorough and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress and discharge summaries with adherence to established standards and best practices.
  • Utilize digital tools such as Word, Outlook, and EMR systems to accurately enter and manage client data, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing training to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Independently manage your schedule to meet treatment goals while also maintaining work-life balance and meeting deadlines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on adolescents and young adults struggling with a range of mental health challenges, including emotional disturbances, substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma. Our approach to therapy prioritizes building genuine connections with clients and their families, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and unconditional support in the healing process.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required, or active enrollment in a Doctorate program accredited by a state-approved graduate school.
  • The candidate must hold a valid Board registration (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or be a licensed Psychological Associate in the state of California.
  • Demonstrated experience in individual and family therapy with adolescents and young adults is required to effectively support our client population.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with mental health issues, substance abuse, eating disorders, or in trauma-informed treatment practices is preferred, enhancing your capacity to address a variety of client needs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with opportunities for a sign-on bonus.
