Overview:

The Marketing Associate provides essential support for all marketing activities across Durst's commercial and residential portfolios under the purview of the Marketing Manager. This individual is a core member of the marketing and communications teams, directly contributing to projects through exceptional organization, thoughtful coordination, confident communication, strong writing, and solid design sensibility.

The successful candidate will have proven prior experience with commercial real estate marketing functions, including advertising, branding, graphics, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing Associate must be a driven self-starter with a passion for excellence and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position is an opportunity to work hands-on across an iconic real estate portfolio – including One World Trade Center, One Five One West 42nd Street, and VIA 57 WEST – at a company that's shaped New York City's skyline for more than 110 years. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and evolution of marketing campaigns, including – but not limited to – messaging, branding, visuals, media, etc.
  • Participate in social media ideation, storyboarding, content creation, and editing.
  • Clearly, efficiently, and cordially coordinate with vendors and internal departments on photo shoots, videography, signage installations, display production, leasing reports, proposals, and more.
  • Support the creation of – and ensure adherence to – project timelines, handling reminders and escalations as needed to move projects forward.
  • Utilize Monday (project management software) to track, update, and report on projects.
  • Collate and report on metrics (social media, advertising campaigns, email distributions, etc.) with assistance from the Marketing Manager and Performance Marketing Manager.
  • Ensure collateral (flyers, roundups, floorplans, brochures, etc.) is up to date, manage revisions with oversight from Marketing Manager, and upload promptly to applicable systems (Durst.org, CoStar, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Manage inventories of collateral and marketing displays in the corporate office, commercial marketing floors, residential models, and residential leasing offices.
  • Monitor property websites, Durst.org, CoStar, LoopNet, Apartments.com, and StreetEasy so content, imagery, and functionality remains current and optimized.
  • Routinely walk commercial marketing floors, residential models, and amenity spaces to ensure show-ready condition and customer experience in-line with Durst standards.
  • Take ownership of portfolio elevator screens and tenant welcomes (audit current content, update artwork where necessary, post/delete as needed, coordinate timing and approvals with incoming tenants.)
  • Assemble Purchase Orders (PO), Work Orders (WO), and Check Requests as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate marketing
  • Knowledge of residential marketing a plus
  • Firm understanding of real estate basics – ability to read floorplans, knowledge of basic building components/terms, familiarity with renderings
  • Experience with branding, messaging, marketing campaigns, and social media marketing
  • Aesthetic sensibility with an eye for visual composition
  • Flexible with a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong analytical skills; instinct to think first then act
  • Robust communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior organization and time management skills, with great attention to detail and follow-through
  • Complete proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere preferred

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 (hourly rate is $38.46/hour - $43.27/hour)
