In-House Leasing ManagerPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and results-driven In-House Leasing Manager to oversee leasing activities for our portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. This position will be responsible for managing the full leasing process, maintaining strong occupancy levels, communicating with prospective and current tenants, and working closely with property management and ownership.

The ideal candidate has strong leasing and customer service experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple properties, prospects, and lease transactions simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full leasing process from initial inquiry through lease execution and move-in.
  • Respond promptly to prospective tenant inquiries and follow up on leasing leads.
  • Schedule and conduct property tours and show available spaces to prospective tenants.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate lease agreements, renewals, amendments, and other leasing documentation.
  • Negotiate lease terms within established company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, applications, leases, renewals, and tenant communications.
  • Monitor lease expirations and proactively manage upcoming renewals.
  • Develop strategies to maintain strong occupancy levels and reduce vacancies.
  • Advertise available properties and ensure online listings are accurate and up to date.
  • Screen prospective tenants and coordinate applications, background checks, and required documentation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective tenants.
  • Coordinate with property management, accounting, maintenance, and ownership regarding leasing activities and tenant needs.
  • Track leasing activity, occupancy, vacancies, and other key performance metrics.
  • Stay informed about local rental rates, market conditions, and competing properties.
  • Ensure leasing activities comply with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of leasing, property management, real estate, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience managing the leasing process from prospecting through lease execution.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and prospective tenants.
  • Comfortable working independently in an in-house environment.
