Description

URM Stores, Inc. is looking for a professional and knowledgeable Mailroom and Copy Center Specialist to join our mailroom team. This person will operate, commercial copying equipment and offset duplicating machines that produce a high volume of a variety of printed materials. This position is also responsible for collecting, sorting, and distributing all mail to include packages in and outgoing for the Company.


The Schedule for the position will be approximately 27 hours Part Time 

  • Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with 30-minute lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.
  • Training schedule for this position could differ from work schedule and will be outlined during the interview.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collect, deliver, process, and sort incoming/outgoing mail via USPS, FedEx, UPS, and inner office system including large volumes of packages.
  • Use commercial copiers and printers to fulfill the printing needs of the Company and its Member-Grocery Stores, by operating and maintaining internal print shop equipment.
  • Maintain print production job logs for internal/external billing purposes.
  • Manage inventory of copier/printer paper, envelopes, and printing supplies.
  • Back-up for other mailroom staff during scheduled vacations or when necessary.
  • Back-up as Courier to: Pick up and deliver mail and packages.  Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Sort incoming mail for internal distribution.
  • Prepare outgoing mail utilizing postage machine.
  • Sort store mail for weekly deliveries.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Basic knowledge of commercial printers, collators, inserters, and folding machines, to include daily and routine upkeep preferred. This equipment is under contract and maintained by the vendor.
  • Understands and will remain current on postal regulations (bulk mailing requirements, postage rates, etc.).
  • Knowledge of basic mailroom process and procedures a must!
  • Knowledge of mailroom equipment to include envelope slicer, postage machine, and paper cutter.
  • Must meet strict deadlines and adhere to quality control standards to support the on-time shipping of weekly advertising circulars and point of sale materials for retail stores.
  • Time management is essential for effectively planning and prioritizing daily tasks, ensuring that all responsibilities are completed within required timelines. 
  • Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple departments.
  • Able to lift 50lbs frequently, with occasional lifting up to 75lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
