Job description

Commercial Glass & Door Service Estimator

About Us

Glass Doctor is Dallas-Fort Worth’s leader in commercial glass and door service. We don’t bid on new construction jobs. Instead, we solve real-world problems on existing facilities (or buildings) for our customers FAST, and we do it better than anyone else. We’re growing our team with top performers who hate losing, love winning, and never settle for average.

About the Role

This is a high-performance role for a Commercial Glass & Door Service Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment. You’ll focus exclusively on estimating service and repair work—not new construction—and deliver precise, timely estimates that help our customers solve problems and technicians secure jobs quickly.

If you have the grit, speed, and attention to detail to be the best, we want to hear from you.

  • We are not a glazing contractor! We are not bidding off architectural prints with plans and specifications. We are fixing problems with existing facilities and their glass, door and window systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review photos, service reports, and field notes to assess scope of work.
  • Create accurate estimates for commercial glass, storefronts, doors, and hardware replacements.
  • Use prior vendor quotes , your experience and knowledge to make accurate guesses when vendor pricing is not readily available.
  • Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
  • Collaborate with technicians, service coordinators, and suppliers to define solutions.
  • Work closely with suppliers and field technicians to identify the right materials and the best solutions for each customer.
  • Understand the range of industry solutions and material suppliers to ensure every estimate is built on solid knowledge.
  • Deliver estimates quickly—often while technicians are still on-site or by the next day.
  • Manage multiple estimates (10–15 per day) without sacrificing accuracy or speed.
  • Support the team with clear documentation and pricing recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Attention to Detail & Speed: You can assess and price jobs faster and more accurately than anyone else.
  • Winner Mentality: You thrive on competition and hate losing.
  • Multitasking Skills: You juggle high-volume estimates and stay organized under pressure.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You solve issues creatively and precisely—never with guesswork.
  • Self-Reliant, Yet Collaborative: You don’t need micromanagement but know when to work as a team.
  • Dependability: You’re always on time, prepared, and focused on results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a service estimator for commercial glass and doors.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and job costing tools.
  • Prior field experience with glazing, storefronts, or commercial hardware.
  • Knowledge of industry suppliers and available solutions.

Don’t meet every requirement?

If you have estimating or field glazing experience and a drive to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary, based on your experience and performance.
  • Performance-based bonus program that rewards outstanding results.
  • Two weeks paid time off + 8 paid holidays.
  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, disability).
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • A fast-paced, goal-driven environment where you can grow and advance.

Important:

This role is for top performers only. If you’re not dependable, punctual, and committed to excellence, this isn’t the job for you. We don’t tolerate workplace drama. We build winning teams. If you’re ready to prove you’re the best—and want to be part of the #1 service team in DFW—apply now. Let’s talk about how you can help us dominate this market.

Pay $60,000-$120,000 depending on experience and glass industry knowledge. Opportunity for bonuses and/or profit sharing.
