Job description

Capitol Aluminum & Glass Corp. is looking for a driven construction professional ready to grow into this role. This role plays a key part in integrating our window and door models into existing buildings based on customer needs and specifications supplied by our in-house sales team. The role will work closely with our sales team to translate site conditions into accurate drawings. Responsibilities include precisefield measuring, creating detailed shop drawings, and producing highquality CAD models that support fabrication and installation. If you're detaildriven, motivated, and enjoy problemsolving, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.


What You Will Do:

  • Visit project sites, field survey, measure and detail building openings and create shop drawings, blueprints and BOMs. Potential use of ladders required when at project sites.
  • Design parts, assemblies, and components for new and existing products.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to review and interpret industry standards and apply as required.
  • Ability to create shop drawings, specialized spreadsheets, and solve complex issues.


Training on Capitol's product line and industry will be provided.


What We Expect/What Will Be Learned:

  • Experience in Construction, Architecture, or Metal Fabrication design or related fields desired
  • Strong proficiency with CAD and Solidworks experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have valid driver's license and subject to background checks per jobsite requirements.
