Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, clients, and field operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Our company specializes in Design-Build construction, Ground-Up developments, Tenant Improvements, and commercial renovation projects. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Estimating
  • Manage commercial construction projects from planning through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines
  • Coordinate all phases of construction including pre-construction, permitting, procurement, and execution
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Identify and resolve project issues proactively

Client & Team Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular project updates to stakeholders
  • Coordinate with estimating, design, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and billing
  • Review subcontractor proposals, contracts, and invoices
  • Prepare and manage monthly project reports and forecasts
  • Ensure profitability goals are achieved

Field Operations Support

  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations run efficiently
  • Ensure jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance are maintained
  • Assist with scheduling inspections and obtaining permits
  • Support punch list completion and project closeout processes

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Experience managing Design-Build, Ground-Up, and Tenant Improvement projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contracts
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction software
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in commercial, retail, office, industrial Construction
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • OSHA certification is a plus
