PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position will work directly with the collective sales team to assist in managing the client relationship and project requirements. Participate in the client relationship assuring that all interactions will result in a win for the client, a win for Atmosphere and a win for the team members. Support the sales team to continuously deliver against agreed upon expectations; including flawless execution, maximizing productivity and utilize resources that will exceed our client's expectations. Implement skills to successfully lead and manage projects which continuously deliver results that meet or exceed expectations. This includes managing costs and resources and minimizing errors. Increase revenue by identifying opportunities to sell additional products and services with clients.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Conduct client meetings in conjunction with the lead salesperson to understand the client's business needs and relevant buying influences.
  2. Communicate and document product and service information to the client linking to their business results they are trying to achieve.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to finalize design, specification and pricing information to be presented to the client in support of request for bid or project negotiations.
  4. Work with client, design and sales to develop functional and creative design solutions that meet the client's requirements, aesthetic and budget. Ensure accuracy of all drawings and specifications prior to presenting to client and/or placing an order.
  5. Specify and offer ancillary products as needed, leading with Steelcase and the collection of the Steelcase partners to provide a good, better, best options based on needs of client and salesperson.
  6. Assist in managing the scope, schedule and budget for small and large complex projects.
  7. Assist in facilitating client requests for pricing, specifications, information and other service requirements. This can involve; helping with quotes, negotiation pricing and terms, cost/benefit analysis, reviewing finishes and options, ordering finishes samples as needed, warranty information, freight, availability/lead times, COM approvals and yardage requirements, and request product samples when required. Assist in managing budget to actual costs for each project.
  8. Larger, complex projects may require participation in pre-install project meetings with project team, contractors and other labor trades. May communicate project requirements, timing, and work plans with client, general contractor or other responsible party designed by the client.
  9. Will assist in helping to develop and manage project schedule and timeline. Establish and coordinate delivery phasing of product with service providers. May coordinate and lead project team meetings and ensure of accurate information is communicated to all internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  10. Demonstrate problem solving during install; research and resolve product issues while keeping appropriate individuals informed of progress.
  11. Assist with scheduling and participate in punch list walk-through with client and contractors. Ensure action plans are documented appropriately and communicated to project team and client. Confirm punch lists is managed to its completion, including sign off by client.
  12. Assist design team with field measurements and checking specifications against plans. Provide value engineering solutions and communicate required changes to project team.
  13. Maximize revenue for billing project management to clients. Participate and lead efforts to help secure additional business by assisting with RFP responses. Partner with sales team member to identify additional services and products that can be introduced to the client.
  14. Ensure processes and procedures are executed to follow Atmosphere operational standards, and to be efficient, cost effective, and provide increased client service levels.
  15. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key designers, vendor reps, and manufacturers and expand professional network through networking events.
  16. Participate in prescribed Atmosphere training to develop an in-depth knowledge of commercial furniture, including workstations, architectural components, and technology (training levels: awareness; knowledge; skill level is specified for various subjects).
  17. Attain "skill level competency" with presentation capabilities for the Atmosphere Story.
  18. Become proficient with internal technology, including Hedberg and CRM.
  19. Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship within Atmosphere and with vendors.

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
