Job description

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Recreation; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Base Kitsap Camp McKean.Qualifications:
  • The incumbent must have one-year practical work experience including direct customer service.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required (data entry, word processing, internet, electronic mail).
  • Incumbent must have at least one year experience handling cash and utilizing a point-of-sale system.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and may be required to drive government vehicles including light trucks and up to a 15-passenger van.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain food handlers' certification, CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hiring.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously, using proper English grammar and punctuation.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written direction, and present a neat, clean appearance
