Law Enforcement Security Analyst

TAMARACK Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Law Enforcement Security Analyst to support the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) in administering critical Department of Navy (DON) law enforcement information systems. This role plays an essential role in supporting Navy installation security operations by managing extensive user accounts, analyzing law enforcement data, preparing reports and analytics, and ensuring secure, reliable access to systems used to evaluate access eligibility.

Organization: Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC)

Location: Quantico, VA (Hybrid – Telework position)

Salary Range: $60,000 - $62,000 - Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, and qualifications as they relate to the stated knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

Position Description: The Security Analyst provides Law Enforcement (LE) related administrative support services to CNIC Navy enterprise users (Terminal Operators) in support of their daily operations determining the fitness of visitors for unescorted access to Navy installations, as well as supporting law enforcement officer safety during installation traffic stops. We are looking for detailed-oriented, reliable applicants who can be counted upon to safeguard Personal Identifiable Information (PII), government property, and assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide LE administrative support services for the following systems to include creation of new accounts, transfer accounts, reset accounts, reissue accounts, disable accounts, unlock accounts, issue license product keys, update and verify assignment of Installation Terminal Operators across the enterprise.
  • Compile information, analyze findings, make interpretations, and write comprehensive reports based on crime data and trends for enforcement personnel as requested.
  • Perform statistical and analytical research involving the use of computer applications, random statistical samplings, correlation and regression analysis, and probability studies.
  • Support LE administration support services for current DON Law Enforcement Information Systems.
  • Prepare graphs, charts (link analysis, event flow analysis, activity charting), tables and other illustrative devices for visual presentation of data.
  • Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Education Requirements: All Requirements must be clearly annotated on resume. Experience must be shown in work history.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Police Administration, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Information Security, or other directly related discipline of study.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in either physical security and access control, information security, and or operation security programs.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
  • Employees in this position are required to complete preemployment and random drug screenings.
  • Provide proof of U.S. citizenship using the I9 form and supporting documentation.
  • Must possess excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of law enforcement, physical security, access control, or criminal justice principles, practices, and information systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data analysis techniques and computer applications used to analyze, interpret, and present operational information.
  • Skill in researching, evaluating, and interpreting complex information to produce clear, accurate reports, recommendations, and products.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, safeguarding sensitive information, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, while providing professional customer service and collaborating with personnel.
