Job description

Overview The Database Administrator Sr is responsible for all facets of engineering and administering database environments at CAA and Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). Responsibilities ยท Responsibilities to include architecting infrastructure, installing, and configuring database SW products and database configuration in Oracle, Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL), Post Gre SQL) POSTGRES, My Structured Query Language (MYSQL) and cloud database environments. ยท Once deployed, responsible for maintaining the database environments to meet availability and performance standards.

ยท Assists in the scheduling of deployment activity as well as new installation databases. Responsible for developing security standards and ensuring all databases meet ARMY security requirements. ยท Responsible for the development and maintenance of database monitoring and administrative dashboards to ensure a proactive approach to database management.

Qualifications Required: ยท Senior database administration experience deploying and managing databases supporting customer applications. ยท Thorough knowledge of the Cyber Command Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) processes and procedures. ยท Know how to perform a Security Readiness Review (SRR) and document the SRR findings in a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) document.

ยท Experience in database administration and architecture. ยท Five or more years' experience with Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment. ยท Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, POSTGRES, MYSQL, and cloud database environments is required.

ยท Knowledge of database administration responsibilities. ยท Knowledge of Python and PowerShell is a plus. ยท All positions require the ability to relate to customers professionally.
