On.Energy is a fast-growing, end-to-end clean energy solution provider that develops, engineers, supplies, constructs, commissions, and operates hybrid and standalone energy storage solutions. We specialize in both front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter applications for utility and commercial/industrial clients across North and Latin America. Position Overview:
The Project Manager - Data Center Projects is responsible for the full lifecycle execution of battery energy storage system (BESS) and hybrid energy projects for data centers. This role will support the Project Executive and oversees all phases of planning and execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as one of the primary points of contact with the client, maintaining alignment across all project stages.
Manage the full scope of project execution, including safety, schedule, budget, engineering, quality, commissioning, and compliance.
Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules using recognized tools and methodologies.
Own project budgets from initial planning to final close-out, including monthly forecasting and variance tracking.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to cost, safety, quality, and delivery.
Lead contract negotiations with EPCs, subcontractors, and third-party vendors.
Manage all change orders, RFIs, NCRs, PCNs, and VCNs in a timely and traceable manner.
Oversee invoice review and approvals across all phases of project delivery.
Ensure project documentation, client reporting, and internal reporting is clear, accurate, and timely.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers and partners to improve execution quality and delivery performance.
Support contract close-out and final project documentation handover.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (required).
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in energy project management, preferably in battery energy storage or related fields.
Demonstrated experience managing EPC contractors, negotiating construction contracts, and overseeing complex infrastructure projects.
Proficient in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and budget tracking systems.
Deep understanding of project controls, cost forecasting, and risk management best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required).
Willingness to travel to project sites in the U.S. and Latin America as needed.
