As a data architect on our battle management team, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of data architecture solutions for defining how mission data is modeled, governed, and moved across next-generation Command and Control ( C2 ) systems, turning sensor feeds, mission systems, and enterprise stores into a coherent, interoperable data foundation that operators and analysts can t rus t. You'll resolve routine data architecture- related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing data architecture to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments. In this role, you'll share your technical expertise, introduce best practices, and use tools like AWS and data fabric and data mesh, to model from concept to physical implementation, designing the data fabric or mesh that connects mission systems, establishing master data management and governance, and setting the data strategy that ties it all together. You'll architect on the cloud and align to DoDAF and interoperability standards. You'll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you'll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered. You Have: * Experience in enterprise data modeling from conceptual through logical to physical design
* Experience designing data fabric or data mesh architectures across multiple mission systems
* Experience establishing master data management ( MDM ) and data governance practices
* Experience applying DoDAF data-centric views and interoperability standards to system-of-systems designs
* Experience defining data strategy that spans and integrates multiple mission systems
* Experience with cloud data architecture on AWS, including data governance and security
* Ability to translate mission requirements into scalable, interoperable, and t rus ted data designs
* Secret clearance * Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or Data Science and 10+ years of experience with data architecture or data engineering, including mission or defense systems, or 14+ years of experience with data architecture or data engineering, including mission or defense systems, in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: * Experience with C2, ISR, or sensor data and its architectural and latency constraints
* Experience designing real-time and streaming data architectures such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink
* Experience with data cataloging, lineage, and met adata management tooling
* Experience with DataOps, data pipeline automation, and CI / CD for data
* Master's degree * Security+ CE or similar DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification * TOGAF or similar Certification
