Job description

Job Details: 

Title: Command Center/ Customer Service Representative

Pay: $18.66/hour

Location: Lincoln, NE

Schedule Option 1: Tuesday-Wednesday, 4:00 PM-12:30 AM; Saturday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; and Sunday, 12:00 PM-8:30 PM 

Schedule Option 2: Thursday-Monday, 4:00 PM-12:30 AM.


The Spirit of the Position:

Command Center employees are responsible for providing excellent customer service within all parking facilities and assisting customers remotely at the entry/exit pay stations. The Command Center employee may also be responsible to assist in other departments with permission from their immediate supervisor, help managers directly, and work with various projects that are assigned at any given time.

Required: 

  • Strong customer service experience
  • Cash handling experience is preferred but not required
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required

You are:

  • Charismatic, energetic, and happy to help however you can.

  • Proficient in basic computer skills in the parking revenue control system
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

What will I do?

  • Actively watch our video monitoring system.
  • Greet customers over the phone and/or intercom in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Verbally communicate and explain to customers how to use the equipment.
  • Be ready to assist quickly when there is a malfunction or mistake.
  • Listen for radio calls and respond back when completed.
  • Communicate issues with management including potential issues with safety, security, and maintenance.
  • Wipe down equipment in garages as needed.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Cash handling experience is preferred but not required.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations. 
  • Ability to handle challenging and, at times, emotionally charged situations and de-escalate situations.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must make decisions independently and know when to ask management for assistance.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
