Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced Systems Engineer to join the KC-767 International Tanker Program, in Hazelwood, MO.
Position Responsibilities:
  • KC-767 International Tanker Fleet Support Engineering systems engineer primarily focusing on Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) obsolescence resolution as well as supporting proposal development and project execution for new capabilities.
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
  • Develops requirements documentation as well as test plans/procedures/reports.
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5 + years knowledge of engineering discipline(s) (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software engineering) applied to product related systems (e.g., aircraft, avionics systems) throughout the product development life cycle, from concept development to deployment.
  • Must be able to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
  • 5 + years knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., navigation, avionics, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatic, etc.) including operations and troubleshooting.
  • Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings.
  • Develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Provides technical solutions to a variety of difficult problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Capable of evaluating customer and /operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
