OVERVIEW:

The Partnership Development & Insights Seasonal Assistant will report to the Coordinator, Partnership Development, and will mainly support the Partnership Development and Insights team, while also working alongside the Activation and Sales teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of sports partnerships, with exposure to sales strategy, partnership activation, and cross-functional collaboration across three dynamic teams: the Atlanta Hawks, the College Park Skyhawks, and State Farm Arena.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Proposal Support
    • Assist in designing partnership proposal decks, recaps, and mock-ups using Sportsdigita and/or other presentation platforms
    • Support proposal development through ideation, research, and asset vetting
    • Maintain and organize the department's idea library of partnership assets and concepts
    • Provide meeting support through diligent note-taking, action item tracking, and distribution of summaries to relevant stakeholders
  • Research and Insights
    • Conduct research on league and industry best practices to support new business and strengthen existing partnerships
    • Collaborate to produce a monthly report highlighting emerging trends, industry insights, and partnership opportunities
    • Perform ad-hoc research on topics such as B2B sponsorships and partner recruitment strategies
    • Aggregate and analyze partnership performance data to support recap development
  • Event and Game Night Execution
    • Assist with concert and in-game promotions, partner activations, and entitlement nights
    • Capture and catalog photos from games and events; manage tagging and storage in Iconik
    • Support community and other event activations and player/talent appearances
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Sales and Activation teams to ensure alignment and execution of partnership goals
    • Maintain and regularly update the Global Partnership partner list to ensure accuracy and accessibility across teams
    • Act in a general support role to the Partnership Development & Insights team
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Global Partnerships department

Qualifications:

  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Sports Management, Business)
    • At least one (1) year of relevant experience (internships included)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Creative and analytical thinker
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, including all event/game nights if applicable
  • Preferred
    • Previous experience in sports partnerships (professional or collegiate level)
    • Familiarity with Sportsdigita or similar presentation platforms, Salesforce, KORE, Photoshop
    • Interest in pursuing a career in corporate partnerships or sports business
