The Xfinity Mobile Arena is one of the world's busiest arenas, home of the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Villanova University basketball, family shows and concerts. Since opening in 1996, the arena is the centerpiece of sports and entertainment in the greater Philadelphia region as well as prominently featured in the national spotlight. The 21,000-seat arena is a showcase arena for the company's industry-leading qualities as an operator and an innovator in the live event experience.

Job Description

Description:

  • Learn full scope of event management for all events at the Xfinity Mobile Arena
  • Learn to coordinate set-up for concerts, sporting events and family shows and assist with hospitality activations as needed
  • Learn to coordinate day-of needs for concerts, sporting events and family shows
  • Learn to complete full building reports on event days including operational and cleaning needs
  • Learn staffing and project management process for before, during and after events of all departments, including Operations, AV /Telecommunication, Food & Beverage, Event Security, Building Services, Union Labor/Stagehands, Box Office, Parking and Outside Client Services
  • Assist Hospitality Coordinator in activating hospitality areas with outside entertainment as needed with the goal of driving incremental revenue
  • Assist Hospitality Coordinator in executing hospitality and added value experiential events for Xfinity Mobile Arena VIP clients
  • Engage with customers and clients to ensure excellent service
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Open to college juniors, seniors and graduate students studying in a related major
  • Internship is paid, however housing arrangements/transportation are the responsibility of the Intern
  • Must have a 3.0 G.P.A. or higher
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to keep up in fast-paced environment, customer service orientated and professional, and able to participate during normal business hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as based on the event calendar

Compensation

Base Pay: $15.00
