Position Summary Small Animal Internal Medicine Service at Colorado State University is seeking veterinary locum coverage for our Small Animal Internal Medicine at our Fort Collins, CO veterinary teaching hospital. Successful candidates will supervise the clinical service, consisting of residents, house officers, and students.

Brief Work Unit Description

Veterinary Teaching Hospital
At theCSUVeterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), we exist to educate the next generation of veterinarians by providing exceptional veterinary care and service to the community every day.

Essential Job Duties

  • Teaching - Provide clinical instruction in general surgery to residents, interns and veterinary students in theVTH.

  • Clinical Supervision - Provide clinical supervision to theVTHto include participation in the Small Animal Internal Medicine services and backup support for residents, house officers, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • DVMor equivalent veterinary professional degree.

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in higher education, professional development, or healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience instructing veterinary students, interns, and residents in the diagnosis and management of Small Animal Internal Medicine cases in the clinical setting.

  • Clinical experience and/or certifications/ degrees in the comprehensive non-surgical treatment of osteoarthritis (e.g., pain management, rehabilitation, regenerative medicine, complementary medicine, etc.)
