Job description

We're looking for a concept-driven Senior Graphic Designer who is a masterful visual storyteller with a track record of developing bold creative ideas and bringing them to life across every brand touchpoint. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in concept development, art direction, and hands-on execution-building cohesive campaigns that span photography, packaging, retail, digital, social, email, and experiential environments. You'll partner closely with our Senior Art Director to shape the future of the Owala brand while creating work that inspires consumers and elevates those around you.You will collaborate closely with the Owala design team and brand partners to shape and drive the graphic strategy and vision. This role requires exceptional teamwork, the ability to meet deadlines, and a clear communication style to ensure design feasibility and effectively articulate the thinking behind your work to stakeholders.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop original campaign concepts and creative systems that extend seamlessly across digital, retail, packaging, photography, social, email, and experiential channels.
  • Lead art direction for photography and video from concept through execution, including creative ideation, mood boards, styling, shot planning, image selection, and retouching feedback to ensure every asset supports a cohesive campaign vision.
  • Translate a single creative idea into integrated 360 campaigns that create a consistent and compelling brand experience across every customer touchpoint.
  • Craft compelling visual narratives that translate strategic objectives into engaging, consumer-centric storytelling.
  • Uphold and refine brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints through well-executed design systems and scalable templates.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets across e-commerce, retail, packaging, digital campaigns, product imagery, and promotional materials, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across every customer touchpoint.
  • Partner with UX designers, engineers, and marketers to optimize digital experiences through thoughtful design and seamless functionality.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions with strategic, forward-thinking design recommendations that elevate the brand's creative direction.
  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
  • Balance creativity with efficiency, ensuring all projects meet brand standards, deadlines, and budget constraints without compromising innovation.
  • Continuously explore emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to push creative boundaries and maintain a competitive edge.

What You'll Bring to the Team

We seek employees who are adept at contributing their personal expertise to a collaborative work environment. For this role, we're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably creating campaigns for consumer-facing brands. Portfolio should demonstrate concept development, art direction, integrated 360 campaigns, and execution across both physical and digital channels.
  • Experience creating work for consumer products, lifestyle, retail, outdoor, beauty, food & beverage, or other consumer-facing brands is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with business objectives, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with a keen eye for typography, composition, and color theory. Demonstrated ability to develop a visual idea beyond individual assets, creating cohesive campaign systems across packaging, photography, retail, digital, social, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with advanced knowledge of Figma. Experience in illustration, motion graphics, animation, or interactive design (After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar) is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of visual culture, emerging design trends, and brand storytelling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive creative solutions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of presenting design concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.
