We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team! The Quality Technician is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with the timely, accurate, and thorough monitoring and reporting of processes throughout the value stream, assuring compliance with customer and Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) established standards and specifications with strict adherence to processes.

Job Duties:
  • Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with equipment calibration and care
  • Responsible for the approval of labels and processes prior to press run
  • Responsible for the approval of roll end retains saved by press operators
  • Responsible for assembling, filing, and updating color tolerance folders, color consistency files, pulling clear overlays prior to press run, etc.
  • Collects and reviews rejected information as assigned by the Quality Manager
  • Conduct data collection and analysis as required
  • Assist in the management of the MCC Quality Management System, including document control as required
  • Perform internal audits as a member of MCC's Internal Audit Team
  • Participate in improvement initiatives and projects
  • Participates in department meetings as scheduled
  • Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned
  • Related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • 3 years+ experience; printing industry experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of quality assurance
  • Ability to read rulers and pass the color hue test
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including analytical abilities within Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to stay focused and follow instructions for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to work independently and see tasks and projects through to completion
  • Works well in a team environment, is seen as a team player
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 standards and ASQ Certifications are desired but not required
  • The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
  • This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
