The starting pay for this position is $21 to $32 per hour based on previous experience.

These are daytime, full time positions and some overtime may be required. Training will be provided, but prior industry experience is required.

Advanced Locate Technician are responsible for the correct, safe and efficient locating of underground utilities. This includes taking time to thoroughly search for all underground utilities in an area, properly marking the location, completing the necessary paperwork, and documenting each locate. This position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use a company provided laptop and smart phone to document the locate.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

  • 1 year of utility locating experience required

  • Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus

  • Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed

  • Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected

  • Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).

  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bendand stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.

  • Proficiency with technology

  • Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities

  • Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints; possess basic math skill to calculate distances

  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Customer service experience is a plus
