Job Description
WHAT'S THE JOB?
The Master Electrician is responsible for providing licensed electrical leadership and hands-on technical expertise for a large workforce accommodations facility in the State of Texas. The site consists of temporary, modular, hardwall structures configured into a complex designed to house and support a rotating workforce.
In this role, you will act as the technical authority for all electrical systems while also supporting general facilities maintenance activities as required. You will ensure the safe, reliable, and code-compliant operation of electrical infrastructure while supporting day-to-day maintenance needs across accommodations, common areas, and support buildings.
This position requires an active Texas Master Electrician license and compliance with all applicable Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) regulations.
YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
Electrical Systems & Code Compliance
  • Serve as the licensed Master Electrician for the facility, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Texas regulations
  • Perform, supervise, and verify all electrical work, including:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Lighting systems (interior and exterior)
    • Panelboards, breakers, and feeders
    • Service entrance equipment
    • Grounding and bonding systems
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults across modular buildings
  • Ensure electrical systems supporting temporary and modular structures are installed and maintained safely
  • Act as the Master of Record for electrical work as required by Texas law Facilities Maintenance Support
  • Support general maintenance activities in coordination with facilities and site leadership
  • Perform routine inspections to identify electrical and infrastructure deficiencies
  • Respond to electrical service calls and urgent maintenance issues
  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors as required
  • Document completed work, inspections, and deficiencies

Safety, Leadership & Compliance
  • Ensure all electrical and maintenance work is completed in accordance with site safety programs
  • Enforce lock-out/tag-out procedures and electrical safety practices
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to maintenance personnel and contractors
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews

Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Active Texas Master Electrician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical work
  • Demonstrated experience working with temporary, modular, or prefabricated structures
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience supporting both electrical systems and general facilities maintenance
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site electrical systems
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Physically capable of working in mechanical and electrical rooms and performing hands-on work
