Jockey is seeking a Raw Materials Coordinator, to join our Product Development team! This is an exciting position for someone that is passionate about pursuing a career in textiles.

The Raw Materials Coordinator role will offer support to the research, development, approval, and marketing of Materials & Color. This position assists in ensuring that materials, for all categories, are developed to meet our performance requirements, meet go-to-market requirements & timing, achieve cost, margin, and original design intent. 

This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiate, monitor and ensure valid cost/performance-correct raw material development through collaboration with design/product development/sourcing/Hong Kong materials teams, external mills/factories, and while adhering to sustainable material criteria.
  • Support Material Development of key categories. Showcase new and exciting material and technology platforms. Advocate for sustainability, innovation, and creativity in the pursuit of proactive product development and consumer centric material solutions.
  • Responsible for seasonal material library organization, including content from core suppliers and current materials. Maintain seasonal development reference binders with complete fabric information for internal reference and meeting preparation.
  • Facilitate timely testing of raw materials via third-party labs, working with the Materials team to certify that all material quality requirements are met.
  • Confirm the availability of materials and assist in tracking all material sample requests for development and meetings.
  • Assist with maintaining PLM material data integrity including material specs, test reports, supplier data, and color execution.
  • Attend and participate in select fabric appointments, attend presentations, and concept meetings when necessary.
  • Assist with material lab dip approval process, including reviewing and commenting on submits, professionally communicating with mills/factories, maintaining up-to-date status in PLM. Organize color standards and color submits in color lab.
  • Support sustainability initiatives through research and knowledge sharing, staying informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Assist in research of material trends and new innovations to identify business opportunities and needs.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in meeting the evolving needs of the role.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles, Apparel, or related field preferred.

PREFERRED:

  • PLM knowledge a plus.
