The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. Officers monitor premises, enforce site policies, patrol designated areas, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access control points.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security violations.
  • Complete incident, accident, and daily activity reports accurately and timely.
  • Respond to emergencies and contact law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when necessary.
  • Enforce client and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, when applicable.
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Candidates assigned to mobile patrol or vehicle-based posts must meet company eligibility requirements for Mobile Security Officer status, including successful completion of all required driving and insurance qualification reviews
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent observation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  • Basic computer and report-writing skills.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs and perform routine patrols.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule & Availability:
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
