The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and atโ€‘risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Behavioral Health Clinician provides comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment services to individuals in supportive housing or residential settings. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering individual and group therapy, and offering clinical interventions to promote stability, recovery, and independent living. The clinician collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to address the complex needs of individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, trauma, and housing instability, utilizing evidenceโ€‘based practices to support overall wellโ€‘being and prevent a return to homelessness.

Location: 2100 Broadway, Denver, CO

Position requires a lot of travel within the East region of the Denverโ€‘metro area

NOTE: In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date. The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate's submission of documents necessary for clearance. Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.

Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify behavioral health needs, including mental health and substance use issues.
  • Use evidenceโ€‘based tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Deliver evidenceโ€‘based individual and group therapy tailored to client needs, focusing on mental health and substance use recovery.
  • Create, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans with clientโ€‘centered goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide support and intervention during crises, stabilizing clients and connecting them with additional resources as needed.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
  • Help clients access community resources (housing, employment, education) that support their wellness and recovery goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on best practices in behavioral health through professional development sessions.
  • Ensure timely & accurate recording of all clinical services, communications, and tasks in the EHR while maintaining complete upโ€‘toโ€‘date charts using the system and any future upgrades as directed.

Qualifications Summary Education
  • Masterโ€™s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current provisional license as an LSW, LMFTC, or LPCC.
Experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in health care or human services field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness, trauma, and/or chronic health conditions.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable.
  • Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification is preferred.

$29.77 - $34.23 an hour
