Job description

This position reports to:
Finance Manager
As a Factory Cost Analyst for the Ormond Beach Manufacturing Facility, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Electrification Installation Products "ELIP" organization, benchmarking KPIs while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. Reporting to the Ormond Beach Controller, you will study business performance, including financial modelling to forecast the impacts and risks, and recommend areas for continuous improvement.
This role will have a heavy focus on process / continuous improvement, data and data accuracy, and regularly utilizes software such as PowerBI to leverage for business insights and facility tracking.
This role will need to be able to work an in-person schedule out of our Ormond Beach, FL manufacturing facility (#LI-Onsite).
Your Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial modelling for various scenarios and the overall impact on the organization. Provide monthly analysis on various operational parameters.
  • Provide analysis and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable cost and savings parameters. Support driving operational excellence across manufacturing sites through target setting and proper monitoring.
  • Validate the accuracy of operational and financial data, business information and reports by performing reconciliations and reviews of exceptions.
  • Support driving overall productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization all in cooperation with Division management.
  • Take the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance while maintaining a proper audit trail and documentation for future audits and reviews.

Your Background:
  • 5+ years of experience in controlling or financial analysis, financial operations, or internal controls.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • General accounting knowledge in financial statements, cashflow, inventories, reconciliations and internal controls.
  • Change management experience.
  • Must have advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Experience using multiple tools including Oracle, SAP, Power BI, and Hyperion.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking capability is required conducting financial analysis, effective problem solving and performing root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work in a collaborate team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Candidates must already be authorized to work for ABB in the United States.
