Responsibilities
University Libraries is seeking an OPS employee to assist in providing support, training, and technical assistance to staff and library patrons related to the FSU Libraries website (Drupal CMS), Springshare products (LibGuides, LibCal, LibAnswers, and LibInsights), SharePoint, Teams, Wiki and other web-based applications as assigned.
Primary duties of this position include assisting the Web Development team with maintaining the internal library wikipedia, editing library web pages using HTML and CSS, and user experience (UX) testing. This includes working with our users to identify needs and hurdles, including online and in-person testing. Other responsibilities will include answering questions/tickets, maintaining existing content, and other projects as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of web-based accessibility standards and best practices
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Ability to speak with and understand users from an informative viewpoint
  • Experience and comfort in virtual communication and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with library faculty and staff
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Knowledge of the Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Successful candidates will be curious, technically adept, and open to working in a highly collaborative environment. The ability to explore and learn new and emerging technologies will be central to this position
  • Experience with, and enthusiasm for, open-source software principles, development and tools.
  • Experience with CMS (Drupal, Wordpress)

Anticipated Salary Range
