Summary of Position

Responsible for building shipping containers per customer specifications and assisting with overall shipping and receiving responsibilities.

 

Essential Functions

  • Build all shipping containers per customer specifications (box, skid, and crate construction)
  • Assist in the outsourcing of shipping containers to customer designated sources
  • Assist in packing of tooling
  • Responsible for pickup and delivery as instructed by the Shipping/Receiving Manager or Purchasing Dept.
  • Responsible for proper cleaning and packing of product to prevent corrosion, damage, etc.
  • Back up for shipping and receiving as required
  • Any additional duties assigned by management

Required Skills, Education & Experience

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.  Typical qualifications would be:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of rigging and packing tooling
  • Mathematical skills
  • This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required.

Prefered Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities.
  • Ability to work with management team to help drive performance of location.
  • Chauffer's License preferred
