Department: Oncology
Shift: Day
Daily Work Times: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Scheduled Biweekly Hours: 80
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Radiation Oncologists, Registered Nurses and other Cancer Center staff with basic clinical and office functions to ensure a coordinated approach to oncology patient care activities. Works closely with nursing team and medical staff to ensure quality patient care in a timely manner
Required:
  • High school diploma
  • Graduate of approved program for Medical Assistant (MA)
  • 3 yrs medical assistant experience
  • CPR certified
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent customer/ patient relation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present self in a professional, courteous and tactful manner

Preferred:
  • Previous oncology office experience
  • State Certification
