Bon Secours – Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking Board-Certified Gastroenterologists for locum tenens hospital call (24-hour) coverage due to a departure. Multiple weekday and weekend blocks are available throughout the year, including an urgent February need.

  • Esophageal Dilatation & Manometry

  • Esophageal Manometry Interpretation

  • Small Bowel Biopsy

  • Lower GI Endoscopy

  • Sigmoidoscopy

  • Colonoscopy

  • ERCP – REQUIRED

Upper GI Endoscopy, including:

  • Biopsy

  • Foreign Body Removal

  • Fulguration of Bleeder (cautery/laser)

  • Injection & Banding of Varices

  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic procedures

  • PEG placement

Preferred:

  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Volume:

  • Average ~8 procedures/week

  • Mix includes GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP


Credentialing
  • Estimated timeframe: ~90 days

  • Clean malpractice history required for temporary privileges


Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified Gastroenterology – REQUIRED

  • Active Virginia License – REQUIRED

  • ERCP experience – REQUIRED

  • EUS – Preferred

  • Flu Shot – Required

  • COVID Vaccine – Highly Preferred

  • Clean malpractice history – Required

  • NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days) – Required
