Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking Board-Certified Gastroenterologists for locum tenens hospital call (24-hour) coverage due to a departure. Multiple weekday and weekend blocks are available throughout the year, including an urgent February need.

  • Esophageal Dilatation & Manometry

  • Esophageal Manometry Interpretation

  • Small Bowel Biopsy

  • Lower GI Endoscopy

  • Sigmoidoscopy

  • Colonoscopy

  • ERCP REQUIRED

Upper GI Endoscopy, including:

  • Biopsy

  • Foreign Body Removal

  • Fulguration of Bleeder (cautery/laser)

  • Injection & Banding of Varices

  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic procedures

  • PEG placement

Preferred:

  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Volume:

  • Average 8 procedures/week

  • Mix includes GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP

Credentialing

  • Estimated timeframe: 90 days

  • Clean malpractice history required for temporary privileges

Submission Requirements

  • Board Certified Gastroenterology REQUIRED

  • Active Virginia License REQUIRED

  • ERCP experience REQUIRED

  • EUS Preferred

  • Flu Shot Required

  • COVID Vaccine Highly Preferred

  • Clean malpractice history Required

  • NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days) Required
