Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring 2 years of experience, prior charge experience, and NC or Compact RN licensure.

Details
  • Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital environment
  • Perform procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
  • Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Call requirement averaging 1 day a week and 1 weekend a month
  • Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of previous charge experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Skills required include post-procedure care, airway management, and recovery monitoring for anesthesia care sedation
  • Additional skills needed: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and specimen handling/labeling
  • One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
  • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions during flu season (October 31 - March 31)
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for endoscopy patients undergoing procedures such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
  • Circulate during procedures and manage post-procedure recovery including airway management and sedation monitoring
  • 3 days of unit orientation provided
  • Orientations occur bi-weekly
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
  • Maximum RTO of 5-7 days must be requested at time of consideration
  • Candidates with previous permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months
