Job description

Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Supervisor, Network Provisioning to join us in a full-time capacity.

Location Requirement:

The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in the office, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.

Role Overview:

The Network Provisioning Supervisor provides direct support to the Data Provisioning Engineering team. The incumbent will manage individuals, assign tasks, and oversee process development. This position has working knowledge of SEGRA Networks, Transport, IP and Ethernet Networks to be utilized in management of the team in delivering carrier class network services to SEGRA customers. Additional duties include representing the Service Delivery team in various committees designed to plan, evaluate, & incorporate new equipment/markets into the network.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; or an equivalent combination of professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Segra Network experience or 8 years of layer 2 network provisioning is required. Extensive understanding of either the Data or Transport disciplines required. Leadership and problem solving experience required. Telco experience preferred. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications required. Provisioning and techinical knowledge required.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Knowledge of management principles and practices; personnel supervision and development
    • Telephony technologies
    • Knowledge of IP networking, routers, switches and other associated peripheral equipment for customer networks
    • Knowledge of Ethernet services defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) such as ELINE/ELAN.
    • Knowledge of optical transport technologies DWDM/OTN, and SONET/TDM.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $100,065 - $102,000
