Delta College is seeking instructors committed to the college's philosophy that education serves the greater good by providing students access to a better life. Delta College is looking for an adjunct instructor for the Surgical Technology program. Adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching in-person section(s) at main campus and/or virtually.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Understanding of and ability to work with a diverse student population
  • Use of email, internet-based resources, and common Office software
  • Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including incorporating online learning systems
  • Understanding of ADA requirements and willingness to create accessible materials
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Understanding Delta Mission/Vision/Values

Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Surgical Technology
  • Health-related Bachelor degree
  • Graduate of an education program in surgical technology that is also accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the NBSAST
  • BLS certification (current or upon hire)
  • Minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years

Additional Experiences Considered
  • Teaching experience in a Surgical Technology Program preferred.
