Job description

Responsibilities:

 

1.  Operates the assigned program within the philsophy of the school corporation and the varsity coach.

 

2.  Responsible for all squad members from reporting time until departure from school grounds.

 

3.  Available to attend all functions by 3:05 p.m. (practice, locker room supervision and games)

 

4.  Oversee individual and team conditioning workouts.

 

5.  Follow all guidelines and policies set forth by the school and the IHSAA.

 

6.  Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the coach and administration.

Based on Extra-Curricular Pay Schedule

   

Qualifications:

 

1.  The candidate must be a good role model for players (punctual, prepared, sportsmanship, etc.)

 

2.  The preferred candidate would have played high school baseball and preferably some college baseball.

 

3.  The preferred candidate will have general knowledge of pitching, hitting, and fielding with an expertise in one of the three categories - preferably pitching.

 

4.  The preferred candidate will have the ability to instruct and discipline high school students.

 

5.  The preferred candidate will have previous high school coaching experience.
