Collections Representative – UB Associates, Inc.

Full-Time | Onsite

Practice: UB Associates
Pay: $17.00/hour + 15% commission on all successfully collected past-due balances
Work Location: In person


Position Summary

UB Associates is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Collections Representative to join our Billing Department. This role plays an important part in supporting patients as they navigate outstanding account balances while ensuring timely and accurate collection of past-due payments.

The Collections Representative will work closely with patients and internal teams to resolve billing concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a strong commitment to compliance and customer service. This position also offers valuable experience and growth opportunities within healthcare administration.


Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Account & Collections Support
  • Contact patients regarding outstanding balances to arrange payments or establish payment plans

  • Review overdue accounts and follow up according to company policy

  • Respond to patient inquiries about balances and payment options with professionalism and empathy

  • Document all collection activities accurately in the system


Billing Operations & Reporting
  • Work no-show charge reports and $0 encounters to ensure all services are captured accurately

  • Collaborate with billing, front office, and clinical teams to resolve patient concerns

  • Monitor and respond to online reviews, maintaining a positive image for the practice


Documentation, Compliance & Confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and account activity

  • Handle patient information in full compliance with PHI and HIPAA regulations

  • Follow all established policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

  • 1+ years of experience in medical collections, billing, or patient account services preferred
