The permanent collection also boasts one of the world's largest public collections of Dale Chihuly glass, a major collection of photography by Brett Weston, and the definitive museum collection of works by the Washington Color painter Paul Reed. The Museum's renowned Samuel Roberts Noble Theater screens the finest international, independent, documentary, and classic films. Museum amenities include the Museum Store and the Roof Terrace. The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is a member of the Association of Art Museum Directors. The Museum serves over 125,000 visitors annually from all fifty states and thirty foreign countries.
What We're Looking For: The Facilities Support Associate position plays an important role in keeping the Museum's building, grounds, and public spaces clean, safe, functional, and welcoming. This hands-on role supports routine maintenance, housekeeping, shipping and receiving, event setup, and moving furnishings and fixtures throughout the Museum. Working under the Facility Operations Manager, this position helps ensure day-to-day facility needs are addressed efficiently and that incoming materials are properly received and communicated. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, adaptable, and takes pride in maintaining high standards throughout the Museum.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Assist Facility Operations Manager with public area lighting and HVAC systems maintenance
โ€ข Housekeeping and maintenance of the interior of the building
โ€ข Maintenance and upkeep of the exterior of the building and grounds
โ€ข Maintenance support for all Private Events and Museum Programs
โ€ข Shipping and receiving of all "Non-Art" materials
โ€ข Cleaning of all interior surfaces and facilities
โ€ข Cleaning/Maintaining the exterior of the building: sidewalks, windows, doors, trash receptacles, flower beds and dock area
โ€ข Moving of furnishings and fixtures at the direction of the Facility Operations Manager
โ€ข Receive and deliver all incoming mail and package deliveries, advise the Museum Registrar of all artifact deliveries
โ€ข Removal of all trash from the Museum galleries, roof terrace, administrative wing and exterior of the building
โ€ข Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools and accurate measurement skills, including proficient use of a tape measure.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate floor care equipment, including power scrubbers and carpet extractors.
  • Knowledgeable in the proper handling, dilution, and application of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to identify facility-related issues and clearly communicate concerns to management in a timely manner.
  • Competent in the safe and proper use of ladders for various maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of general safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
