Job Description

AECOM’s Water group in Victoria, BC is dedicated to delivering innovative civil infrastructure solutions. We are currently seeking a motivated Graduate Municipal Technician with expertise in Civil 3D to support multiple civil infrastructure projects. Knowledge of Revit is also an asset.

This role primarily involves Civil 3D design assignments within and outside the Victoria area. The successful candidate will provide technological services for projects, either independently or as part of a larger project team, ensuring that all duties are carried out safely and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Assignments:

  • Provide drafting and design support for various civil and water infrastructure projects using Civil 3D and Revit, in accordance with MMCD and Municipal standards.
  • Support Engineering design tasks such as quantity estimation, pipe condition assessments, and design collaboration with other disciplines.
  • Assist with project documentation and communication
  • Commitment to AECOM’s Quality Review Process

Field Assignments:

  • Attend site design reviews and data collection.
  • Assist with Construction Field Reviews
  • Measure and track quantities related to ongoing projects
  • Prepare and maintain daily construction reports
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractors
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Civil Technology Diploma or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and related CAD software
  • Knowledge of municipal and pipe conveyance infrastructure design standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and contractor interactions
  • Commitment to safety and responsible work practices
