Position Overview:

The Collateral Manager oversees the end-to-end titling process, including title submission, corrections, lien placement, and release, while ensuring all title documents are processed accurately and on time to maintain compliance and prevent funding delays, and maintaining strict adherence to state Department of Motor Vehicles regulations, internal policies, and auto-finance compliance standards. In addition, the manager leads collateral operations, ensuring all collateral received from dealerships and banking partners is properly tracked, recorded, and reconciled; supervising collateral staff through workflow direction, performance oversight, and task delegation; conducting and overseeing audits and reconciliations of collateral on hand; and resolving collateral discrepancies efficiently with internal and external partners. The role prepares and delivers regular collateral status reports to management and lending partners, ensures timely return or retrieval of collateral from financial institutions and dealerships, and upholds high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance across all title and collateral functions. The manager identifies opportunities to improve titling and collateral processes, implements operational enhancements, and promotes a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of leadership/management experience
  • 5+ years of collateral titling experience
  • Thorough knowledge of state title regulations and operational requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
