What is a collage artist?

A collage artist is someone who creates artwork by assembling different materials—such as paper, photographs, fabric, and other objects—onto a surface to form a unified composition. Collage art involves layering and combining images or textures to express ideas, emotions, or stories in a unique visual format. Collage artists may use traditional hand-cut techniques or digital tools, and their works can range from abstract to representational. This art form allows for creative freedom and experimentation, making it popular among both professional artists and hobbyists.
