Valencia College Valencia is now hiring a Supervisor, Testing & Assessment join the Testing and Assessment center at the West campus to coordinate, administer, and oversee assessments and examinations.

About Valencia’s Testing and Assessment Center:
At the Assessment & Testing Center it is our mission is to inform students, faculty, staff, and the community about testing services and help guide students in making informed educational decisions. Our centers strive to provide a secure and conducive environment to support an optimal testing experience during placement testing and course testing throughout a student’s educational journey. Testing and Assessment Centers adhere to the Professional Standards and Guidelines set forth by the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and maintain active involvement in the Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA).

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate Assessment Office staff to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
  • Coordinate all scheduling, activities, and workflows to ensure maximum coverage and seamless service for our student body.
  • Maintain the highest standards of security for all assessments and ensure the total integrity of test administration processes.
  • Act as a key decision-maker in difficult situations, using mediation and problem-solving skills to reach effective resolutions.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Ability to lead and supervise full-time and part-time staff.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, relevant software, and office technology.
  • Knowledge of testing programs (e.g. PERT, CLEP, ACCUPLACER, TEAS) and security protocols.
  • Commitment to excellent service and tactful conflict resolution.

  • This position operates in a primarily onsite environment.
  • This position is eligible for Veteran’s Preference under Florida Statute 295.07(5)(a), F.S.
