Job Description

Aerostar Environmental and Construction LLC is expanding its workforce and is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our growing team. The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects.
  • Coordinates and manages subcontractors/field personnel.
  • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance
  • Manages project invoicing and cash flow management
  • Applies a working knowledge of data collection, management, and evaluation and clearly articulates technical recommendations to clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Applies a working knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA to projects

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting
  • 5+ years of experience on federal projects
  • 5+ years of experience in Military Munitions Response project or task management
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment
  • Ability to recommend approaches for new and improved processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Training and current 8-hour refresher.
  • Other OSHA training (30 hour construction) is valued.
  • Experience interacting with Federal agency Program Project Officers, Contracting Officers, Remedial Project Managers, and technical staff
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Professional licensure (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM)

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co‑workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Working Conditions:

The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
