Required Skills & Experience:
- Valid Oregon Teaching Certification
- Background in special education and experience with elementary school-age children
- Proven ability to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Effective classroom management and differentiated instruction strategies
- Strong communication skills, collaborating with colleagues and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities in both pull-out and inclusive settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, tailoring objectives to meet diverse learner needs
- Work closely with paraprofessionals to maximize classroom support and outcomes
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Engage in regular communication with teachers, staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
