Job description

This role offers hands-on exposure to multiple areas of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end processes, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their skills and gain valuable experience.

Responsibilities
  • Process and enter accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable transactions
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets for the accounting team
  • Review financial information for accuracy and completeness
  • Support data entry and recordkeeping functions within the accounting department
  • Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist with special projects and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting clerk experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with month-end close activities
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
  • Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or Sage
Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
