Job description

Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Blue Ash)

Employment Type: Part-time (1215 hours/week)

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $2328/hour, based on experience

Requirements
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Comfortable around children and a small-sized dog
  • Up-to-date vaccinations preferred
  • Reliable transportation; comfortable using own vehicle for errands
  • Respectful of and comfortable working in a Jewish household
Proposed Schedule
  • Flexible schedule; 3-4 days per week, ideally Monday and Friday, with flexibility on additional weekdays
  • Ideal hours are typically in the morning between 9:00 am 1:00 pm
About Our Family

We are a busy, close-knit family of five with three energetic children (ages 8, 6, and 4) and a beloved dog, a King Charles Cavalier. Our family values routine and structure and prioritizes consistency in our day-to-day rhythms to help everything run smoothly. Mom works from home while dad works from the office. Both parents travel for workmom quarterly and dad more frequentlybut we make a conscious effort to ensure that one of us is home when the other is away.

We are soon transitioning into a new, bigger home in Cincinnati, which is an exciting and busy season for our family, but with that space comes additional upkeep and organization. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of household management and help maintain consistency and order as we settle in and beyond. While we do not need full-time childcare, occasional backup support is appreciated during busy periods or unexpected situations.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management & Organization
  • Reset and maintain daily tidiness throughout the home (dishes, wiping surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas, putting away toys/games/blankets)
  • Execution of weekly cleaning schedule (bathrooms, emptying trash cans, bedroom resets, vacuuming couches, sanitizing gym floor and equipment, sweeping patio areas during warm seasons, etc.)
  • Maintain household organization systems for closets, pantry, storage areas, and shared spaces
  • Manage seasonal transitions including clothing and bedding swaps, donation coordination, and storage organization
  • Provide occasional support preparation for holidays, family events, and guest stays
  • Handle routine deep-cleaning projects (e.g., refrigerator, oven, sauna/cold plunge areas)
Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Assist with putting away household deliveries from Amazon, Target, Costco, etc.
  • Occasional grocery pick-up and putting groceries away
  • Open deliveries and recycle packaging
  • Manage household errands, such as dry cleaning, returns, and gift shopping
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry
  • Hang-dry adult clothing as needed
  • Rotate bedding and refresh towels weekly
  • Keep laundry areas stocked, tidy, and organized
  • Ensure fresh towels are available in gym and sauna/cold plunge room
Pet Care
  • Assist with vet and grooming pickup/drop offs for the family dog
  • Assist with occasional dog walking when parents are unavailable
  • Provide overnight dog care when the family travels, as needed
Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Coordinate and oversee service providers (cleaners, landscapers, maintenance vendors)
  • Create and manage a calendar of household maintenance and seasonal service needs (weekly, monthly, quarterly tasks, etc.)
  • Serve as the point- of- contact for vendors and home service professionals
  • Assist with upkeep of outdoor spaces and property systems as needed
Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Open to providing occasional backup childcare or light supervision
  • Assist with school pickups or drop-offs in emergency situations
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Take ownership of rotating deep-cleaning projects (hot tub/cold plunge, sauna, etc.)
  • Assist with organizing special projects such as toy storage, seasonal dcor, and gear rotation
